72 Hours: Botswana, Africa

On arrival to the tiny Savuti Airstrip we were met by our guide and transported on roads of deep sand to Savute Elephant Camp located in beautiful Chobe National Park in northern Botswana. The camp itself is total luxury; huge tents, massive beds, large bathrooms with an outside shower. Accommodations are definitely 5 star!

Troy Alexander Project was a guest and offers our opinion. It felt like a truly breathtaking experience, we immediately loved the camp and felt at peace! Our guide was outstanding, knew where to locate the game, knew what they were doing and where they were going. But more than that, we gained an understanding of the behavior and routines of the animals. The game viewing was superb and we saw four of the ‘big five’ every day, the exception being rhino due to poachers driving the species to extinction in the country. I totally recommend this property; it was truly eye-opening and life changing!
